Challenge

Conduct research and provide updated design for an Enterprise noise cancelling app to improve overall user experience and increase chances of a successful product launch in North American markets.

Summary

This SaaS enterprise app client was looking to expand into the North American market with an improved and updated noise cancelation app that would be both competitive and user friendly
They needed insights on how to improve their product and the interactions that lead up to first time usage, such as site and onboarding experience, so that they could have the best product launch possible.
User and industry research, a thorough evaluation and testing of the product, onboarding process, and website, and a resulting redesign that could easily be implemented and handed off in time for development and launch

Problem

User testing and product analysis indicated that our client app's confusing onboarding process, lack of professional look and feel, and poor website layout was discouraging users to sign up or use the app.

Our client needed an improved app and user experience so that they can provide enterprise clients in a new market with a much needed solution for background noise during virtual meetings.

How Might We?

Improve our client's onboarding process, app functionality, design, and site content so that users can easily be onboarded and utilize this much needed enterprise solution?

Evaluation & Areas For Improvement

Desktop App Prior To Redesign

This was not ready for a west coast launch

The App:
Looked outdated at best. It lacked two way functionality, adequate visual feedback,  open/close tabs, and the menu didn't align with usage objectives.

The Website:
Also looked outdated and had confusing button copy and functionality. It did not speak to our intended audience, and had much to be desired from a visual standpoint.

Solutions:
After thorough analysis and testing I came up with several ideas as to how improve this app and the interactions surrounding it

Objective:
To really drive and convey the key development concepts and their objectives prototypes and mocks where intentionally exaggerated and created to reflect drastic changes in visual style, functionality, and over all user flow based on our new audience and research findings.
