Hello, and thank you for stopping by and taking the time to get to know a bit more about who I am!
I am a very high energy person (ENFP) who likes to activate, empower, engage, and inspire others. Making the connection, finding the spark, and opening up channels are among my greatest gifts. I am a second generation Italian who was born in NY, and have been happily living on the West Coast since 2002. Coming from a non-traditional design background in Performing Arts, Wellness, and Psychology is my tech super power that enables outside the box thinking and brings fresh insights, fun, and deep connections to teams and orgs. I place a very high value on working together and being in touch with how we all contribute to a shared vision. I evaluate success as the sum of the whole, it's not a me thing, it's a we us ours thing.

Prior to design I did tons of art, performed and toured with bands as a bassist, worked in education and wellness, traveled and experienced lots of cultures, and spent lots of time in nature. All of these things have played a huge part in how I think as a designer and how I work with teams.
When I'm not designing:
I still continue to produce and perform music, enjoy epic sunsets, and spend time with my family, friends, and community. I'm always learning new instruments, pushing my skills as a visual artist, and simply can't get enough time to be creative. I love traveling, gardening, cooking, spending time in nature, and going to concerts.
Music Was My First Vehicle For Change
I started performing as a Bassist at a fairly young age. Performing and producing taught me how to collaborate with others, be sensitive and responsive to subtle dynamics, and how to distill abstract concepts into tangible and impactful experiences. Touring and working with groups and audiences taught me how to be great communicator, presenter, and problem solver on the fly. In addition to bass I can play 9 other instruments! I learn fast!
Psychology, Wellness, and Mentoring
Taught me how to better understand behavior and cognition, how to facilitate connection, and how to work with mediums that can influence and effect how we interact with our environments mentally, socially, and digitally.
In The Center Of My Wheel House
I gravitated towards UX design because it was the perfect combination of my strongest abilities. Psychology, creativity, engagement, and long list of technical and social skills. "User centered" has been a major part of just about everything I've worked with leading up to UX. Instructing, Music, Art, Wellness, Working with Special Needs, are all very user/audience focused.
A Normal Work Day
For me often requires juggling several tasks to reach a target objective. Checking in and aligning with my team and stakeholders, conducting research and analysis, implementing strategy, creating digital content, and developing to publish are all tasks that might happen on a given day.
A Global Citizen with a Global Perspective
Communication is a lot more than language. Being raised around non native speakers, growing up and living in diverse communities, and traveling around the world has taught me to be open, comfortable, and embracing. We have a lot in common and a lot to share. Taking the time to hear others and being available is 90% of the conversation. I like to work with diverse teams because there is so much wisdom to gain from so many perspectives.

Acknowledgment and Awareness
By acknowledging each other, by acknowledging the truth of a situation regardless of self, true progress can take place. This isn't always the easy way but for me it's the only way. This is fundamental to the relationships I keep with others and also to the work that I do, creative and otherwise.
Integrity
I am not content with stopping at adequate. I put dedication, commitment, and energy into something until it can perform at a level that puts challenges to rest. You only have one life to live, I like to work to the utmost of my potential. I stand by my work, am accountable, and am confident in what I do.
FUN
Challenges can be hard, getting on top of things is an art form. Practice, continued learning, refining ones skills, hard work, where does the energy come from? FUN, I love doing these things! I have passion for what I do. Good designs, music compositions, performances, good conversations, all start with a connection to something special that we can sense and feel. Taking advantage of this, dropping your baggage, and having fun, allows us to excel under pressure.
Creative Touch
I've learned that In Music, Dance, Healing Arts, and Visual Arts being able to sense and connect is proportionate to ones ability. Being able to dial in is "my thing." I also have a gift for helping others get "dialed in". because well, honestly there's nothing more fun and exciting than everyone being dial in. That's the aim.

Creativity is born of necessity. If you don't have it, make it, and make yours better and stronger. I see value and beauty in things many may pass by. I create original elements ,concepts, and designs and they stand out. I enjoy finding outside the box solutions to problems, design with passion, and am dedicated to my craft.
